I wanted to let you know that today I am on my way to Costa Rica to spend a little time with family, reconnect with nature, and enjoy life… pure life! Can you tell I am excited about it? You should know I will be thinking of you while I am there, taking pictures, and planning stories for future posts.
Now, don’t panic. Assuming that all goes well, there should be a post here to greet you each morning while I am gone. I may be a little slower responding to comments though. C’est la vie.
The picture above was taken at Poas Volcano, on a previous trip to Costa Rica. It is the background of my profile picture, in case you wondered. I especially like this image because it is all about Balance… the delicate balance between fragile life (here played by the pink flower) and sudden death (represented here by the slumbering, but unpredictable crater.) It is soothing and Serene, yet vibrant and bursting with vitality. This is precisely how I hope to return from my trip… relaxed, renewed, refreshed.

Thank you so much for all the great wishes. I won’t spend a whole lot of time on here, but I thought I would let everyone know we made it. Interestingly, there was an earthquake as we were coming in to land, and we actually felt the disturbance in the air. Kinda weird… but a neat way to start our adventure.
We went to lunch with friends, who gave us a huge bag of huge mangos! Now we are recovering from lunch so we can have coffee with more friends this afternoon. Food, fun, and fellowship for two weeks!!!
