Lisis, that Albert Schweitzer quote was magnificent! I “loved” your post today and I’m stumbling it. Those posts you linked to were great. Thank you so much for starting my Friday off this way.

That was a great list, my friend! I enjoyed reading all of the ones that were new to me, and re-reading Albert’s and Nadia’s posts! Thank you!

Hi, Stephen! I’m so glad you liked the list, and that quote is one of my favorites. I can’t tell you how many times my light has been rekindled by little things that others do. Often they don’t even know how much their words or actions meant to me, but they made all the difference in the world. It really doesn’t take much to make someone else’s life a little better. :)

@ Daphne: I’ve seen you around too, and have read many of your wonderful posts. You have a wonderful way of making wisdom and compassion so enjoyable and inspiring. I’m certain I’ll be seeing you around for a long time.

@ Sherri (and Daphne): Thanks for your wonderful articles. It was surprisingly difficult to find good posts about helping others… perhaps it is not as popular a subject as it should be! Maybe together we can change that. ;-)

Well, Jay, YOU (of all people) have a lot to learn about helping others, so you’d better study this list. No, you pretty much set off this whole movement with your post on Monday… see what you’ve started? Now all kinds of people are going to be helped because of you. I hope you’re happy. ;-)

These are great links. Thanks for posting them! Also, thanks for bringing up the topic of helping others. Sometimes it can be a tiny little amount of time or effort that we give and it can make a huge difference in the lives of others.

LOL, Well, even if I *did* set it all off, I still have a lot to learn! And I am happy!! :)

What a lovely collection. Coming here is getting dangerous though, as my Google reader list just keeps getting longer and longer!!! There are worse problems to have however…

@ Lisa: I know what you mean… my reading list is getting insanely long too, but that’s better than the alternative. Can you imagine if we had nothing good to read at all!?

@ PP: You’re right it really doesn’t take much, if we just have the right attitude and a little compassion.

@ Nadia: Well you are just welcome, my dear!
