Happy 100 Posts!

Date May 25, 2009

100 cake Happy 100 Posts!PSSST! Over here! It’s me.

What’s that? Who am I, you ask?

No, it’s not Lisis… it’s Alison (aka FairyBlogMother), editor and co-conspirator behind Quest for Balance!

I may have just completely overstepped a line by hijacking the blog (!), but I couldn’t help myself! : ) I just wanted to drop in, say hi, and wish a hearty congratulations to Lisis on her 100th blog post, which went out earlier today! What an accomplishment!!!

I also want to say thank you to you, our readers. It is her desire to help others that inspires Lisis to write, which in turn has given me the opportunity to work with one of my very best friends on this educational, inspirational, and meaningful project. For this I am very thankful.

So, happy 100th to Lisis… and to you… and here’s to 100 x 100 more “insanely inspiring” posts, comments, and conversations about Serenity, Simplicity, Happiness, and Adventure!

Please join me in congratulating Lisis by leaving a comment for her below. Thank you! icon smile Happy 100 Posts!

Hey! Congratulations to both of you! QFB is a great blog and I’m happy to have discovered it. I met most of my blogging friends through a few comments I left here back in March. If you didn’t post such good posts I never would have commented or come back. Hooray!

I will be here for your 1000th, Lisis.

    Keep it up!

AWwwww… you guys! I don’t know what to say! Ali, you little rascal!!! You waited until I went to bed to hijack the blog! What a neat surprise to wake up to.

And all of you, my readers who have commented and those of you who haven’t as well… I am eternally grateful. I know there are a handful of readers that look forward to each post I write, and that keeps me going every day. Here’s to 100 more!

(Is it too early for Champagne, I wonder?) ;-)

  • Ian | Quantum Learning May 26, 2009 at 7:38 am

Lisis – Congratulations!!! That’s really a great achievement and not many bloggers get to 100 posts. And of those that do, very few get the quality you bring here.

It’s never too early for champagne!

I like the way you think, Ian!

Glen, I just noticed your question up there (your comment had gotten tied up for approval… I guess it thinks you’re a little suspicious!). I started blogging on January 5. I think I first learned what a blog was on January 2… from an article in Psychology Today! I was so impressed that there was this wonderful way to connect with people all over the world who are in need of something… inspiration, motivation, empathy, a light at the end of the tunnel. I guess I jumped right on that train and haven’t looked back.

I love this blogging community; you guys are the best!

  • Positively Present May 26, 2009 at 9:59 am

CONGRATULATIONS! That’s awesome!!! I have to say that this blog is such an inspiration for me. I love it!

  • Lisis May 26, 2009 at 10:04 am

Thanks, Dani! It’s an inspiration for me, too. It never ceases to amaze me that I can write something in my journal and think it is uniquely mine… MY experience of MY life. Then I post it here and find out that a bunch of people feel exactly the same way. This idea that we are so different from others that we are completely alone is really only an illusion. We’re all in this together… might as well start helping eachother out.

Thanks for your support and wonderful, positive attitude! =-)

I’m a post behind, which is very unlike me. I usually wake, make me a cup of coffee, and start my day by being inspired by you! Sorry to miss the big 100.

But, like most of your readers, I’ll be here for 200, 500, 1000…
You are an inspiration, Lisis, keep up the great work!

  • Lisis May 26, 2009 at 2:37 pm

Thanks Lori, and Roger. I was a post behind too! This one snuck in on us last night. That Ali is a sneaky, sneaky one!!

  • Alison | Quest for Balance May 26, 2009 at 2:54 pm

Thanks, everyone. You guys are great!!! I’m especially glad this little trick worked out. I was afraid Lisis would see it before this morning, but she’s an early-to-bed type, and I’m three time zones behind, so it worked! YAY!

SURPRISE… and happy 100th, Lisis! You deserve all the success in the world with this project, and I’m happy that I can do a small part to help you along this road! –A

You’re so funny, Ali! For those of you who don’t know, Ali’s “small part” is primarily to run a continuous Obama-esque campaign against my mildly depressive tendency to give in to that feeling of, “Who am I kidding? I’m not a blogger or a writer. I really can’t do this!” Her tireless reply is, “Yes you can!” Then we get back to work.

It is no exaggeration when I tell you this blog would not exist were it not for Ali. It always helps to have a great cheerleader in your peanut gallery. :-)

  • Alison | Quest for Balance May 26, 2009 at 10:00 pm

Not to turn this blog into a full-time mutual admiration society… but I’m afraid I must turn this back around on YOU, Lisis, the voice of this blog. I can say equally (and even more so) that without your writing and creative direction, Quest for Balance simply would not be. I might be stuck whining incessantly in my own, private, anonymous online journal for no good reason, rather than pursuing the important goal of helping others! ;)

Congrats to both of you! I know I’m a day late, but I took the long weekend off to quest for balance:-) I am also so glad to finally officially figure out that you are two separate people. I got completely confused about this on Twitter, when I saw you both linked to this site. And in my defense your pictures, at least at Twitter size, could be the same person…Anyway, you both are doing a great job here…

Thanks for stopping by, Lisa. You’re not the first person who thought I was just a figment of Lisis’ imagination! :) I’m usually behind the scenes, but I like to pop in and cause a little trouble from time to time. Lisis is fond of saying I’m the other half of her brain, and I take that as a compliment (never mind the fact that it means we each have half a brain!). We’re sometimes mistaken for sisters, though I’m a full 6″ taller than she is (and much cuter! …also, more modest). ;) Thanks for joining the 100th post party, and for helping make Quest for Balance the great community that it is.
