female brain Book Review: Female Brain Gone InsaneWhen I first saw the subtitle of this book, “An Emergency Guide For Women Who Feel Like They Are Falling Apart“, I desperately wanted to read it. After all, who among us doesn’t feel this way from time to time? It says, “Four steps to sanity — No doctors, no antidepressants, no fuss” right on the back cover!

Emergency Guide? Yes, Please!

I was picturing something along the lines of Hermione’s magic wand, but as it turns out, this is entirely different. My first clue should’ve been that it was written by Mia Lundin, Founder and Director of the Center for Hormonal and Nutritional Balance. Her approach to this issue is more scientific than what I was looking for.

goals 490x326 Goal Setting, and the Key to a Peaceful Household

2010 started with a BANG! We had our blogiversary last week, and many of you stopped by to celebrate with us. What a great way to kick off a new decade!

THANK YOU!

But something else happened last week that you may not have noticed amidst the merriment: I checked off the first of my goals for 2010. I got over my neurotic aversion to (no, not exercise…) guest posting!

If you’ve been here for awhile, you know that I spent my first year of blogging hoping to avoid posting on other blogs. It sounds crazy, I know, when everyone else is TRYING to guest post. I just wasn’t ready to send my little “babies” (posts) out into the world on their own.

I highly recommend this strategy for beginner and advanced practitioners alike. The best part is, all you have to do is sit back and enjoy, as an understanding of balance subtly finds you.

(Warning for those who have not yet seen the movie: there are spoilers ahead! Stop reading here, go enjoy the movie, then be sure to come back to this post and share your experience in the comments!)

Following are five ways to get the most out of Star Trek and take a few steps closer to enlightenment.
